I have claimed that this is about a space bartender and her Feelings and that it has connections to other songs. It might … but the song full well is not about that, and the ending still feels clunky. I probably leveled up (a bit) from this song when I did another song called 'Trial By Fire--' or at least that was less narratively heavy handed. I am being deliberately shifty—but this is what you do when you write a song sometimes. I happened to match another song written around that time, but that is another shifty little suspiciousden story.

The recording here got closer to what I wanted than most of the others I made around this time except for the randomness at the end--and I almost allowed it to be put on a songwriter compilation album.
